Earlier, security forces recovered the body of a missing Territorial Army soldier abducted by terrorists in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to sources, the soldier, Hilal Ahmad Bhat, was found with gunshot wounds in a forest area in Anantnag district.

“The soldier has been reported missing since Tuesday and local security forces are conducting a search operation,” the source said.

On October 8, the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and other agencies launched a joint counter-terrorism operation in the Kazwan forest of Kokernag.

The operation continued throughout the night as a Territorial Army soldier was reported missing.

Two Taliban soldiers were allegedly kidnapped in the Anantnag forest area, but one of them managed to escape, sources said.
