Atish accuses BJP of ‘dirty politics’ exacerbating Delhi’s pollution

Delhi Chief Minister Atish on Sunday blamed the BJP for rising pollution levels in the capital, saying its “cheap politics” were the main cause of air and water pollution.

She claimed that the AAP government in Punjab has been working tirelessly to reduce incidents of stubble burning.

“If we look at the statistics of Haryana, there has been a 23 per cent increase in farm fires. There has been a 70 per cent increase in farm fires in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP is playing cheap politics with the people of Delhi,” she said.

Slamming the Haryana and Uttar Pradesh governments, Atishi asked: “Why can’t the Haryana and Uttar Pradesh governments introduce CNG and electric buses in their fleets?”
