The opposition Congress party claimed it was an “electoral stunt” ahead of the state’s upcoming by-elections, while the ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) said no explanation was needed as it was between the two companies problem.
Opposition leader VD Satheesan accused the ruling CPI(M) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of collusion. “There is news that the by-election will be announced tomorrow. Earlier this year, the corporate affairs ministry ordered a probe into financial transactions between a Kochi-based mining company and Veena-owned IT firm Exalogic Solutions. The investigation reportedly focuses on transactions between the two companies.
