Security forces on Wednesday recovered the bullet-riddled body of a Territorial Army (TA) soldier abducted by terrorists in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district along with another soldiers were kidnapped together.
According to police, two Tajik Army soldiers were kidnapped in the forest area of Anantnag, but one of them managed to escape.
“Two soldiers of the Territorial Army were abducted by terrorists in the Anantnag forest area. However, one of the soldiers has managed to come back,” he said.
The injured soldier has been sent to a medical facility to receive necessary treatment and is currently in stable condition, police said.
Subsequently, the security forces launched a large-scale search operation to find the whereabouts of Army Jawan. After the body was found, he was sent to the hospital for medical procedures.
Meanwhile, the body of Army soldier Hilal Ahmad Bhat, who went missing on Tuesday, was found on Wednesday in the Samlan forest area of Utrasoo in Anantnag state.

“One Territorial Army soldier was reported missing and the operation continued throughout the night,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Indian Army has expressed condolences to the family of Rfn Hilal Ahmad Bhat, who was kidnapped by terrorists in Anantnag.
In another post, Chinar Corps said, “Chinar Corps pays tribute to the brave heart Rfn Hilal Ahmad Bhat for his supreme sacrifice in the discharge of his duty to the nation.
“His courage and dedication will forever inspire us. The Indian Army expresses its deepest condolences and expresses solidarity with the family of the deceased.”

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha laid a wreath and paid tribute to Rfn Hilal Ahmad Bhat who laid down his life for the country.
“I salute the supreme sacrifice of our Army brave Rfn Hilal Ahmad Bhat. His valor and sacrifice will never be forgotten. The entire country stands firmly with the family of the martyr in this sad hour,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
