CM Yogi Asserts POK Will Be Integrated with Kashmir at Ramgarh Rally

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a public rally in Ramgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, where he directly questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on the National Conference’s (NC) demands regarding Article 370, Article 35A, and a separate flag for the Union Territory.

CM Yogi asked, “Does Rahul Gandhi support the National Conference’s decision to have a separate flag for Jammu and Kashmir? Does Rahul Gandhi support the National Conference’s demand to bring back Article 370 and 35A and push Jammu and Kashmir into an era of unrest and terrorism?”

He accused the Congress of supporting separatism by talking to Pakistan, which he claimed would be at the cost of the youth of Kashmir. CM Yogi also criticized the Congress for turning Jammu and Kashmir into a “den of religious fanaticism” during its rule.

Amit Shah Hits Back at Rahul Gandhi’s Remarks on Jammu and Kashmir

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a rally in Kathua, responded to Rahul Gandhi’s recent comments about Jammu and Kashmir being governed by “outsiders”. Shah reminded the public of the Congress party’s historic use of President’s rule in the region.

Shah highlighted the increased voter turnout in the current assembly elections, attributing it to the reduced threat of terrorism. He claimed that the end of dynastic politics in Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has empowered the local population.

In a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi, Shah promised that if the BJP comes to power, it will not allow the Congress to end reservation. “Rahul baba has said that he will abolish reservation when he comes to power. Whatever their intentions, we will not allow it,” he said, endorsing the BJP’s stance on protecting reservations.

The first assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 are being held in three phases, with the second phase of voting held on September 25 and the third and final phase scheduled for October 1. Counting of votes will take place on October 8, marking the region’s first election in nearly a decade.
