The Indian Air Force (IAF) will attempt to hit the Limca record books on October 6 Grand air show at Marina Beachahead of the 92nd Air Force Day celebrations. The event will showcase the strength and capabilities of the IAAF through large crowds.
The Air Force Day, celebrated on October 8 at Tambaram Air Force Station, will highlight the theme “Bharatiya Vayusena: Saksham, Sashakt aur Aatmnirbhar” (Indian Air Force: Strong, Mighty and Self-reliant). A grand air show of 72 aircraft from 22 categories will be the focus of the celebrations.
The air show at Marina Beach will include fighter jets such as Su-30, MiG-29 and Jaguars, as well as helicopters such as Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) and Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Mk4. The Navy’s P8I and vintage Dakota will also be in attendance, adding a unique touch to the event.
Spectators are expected to be between 10 and 12 lakh, who will witness iconic formations such as Arrowhead, Trishul and Rudra, as well as thrilling aerobatics by the IAF’s Surya Kiran and Sarang teams.
The two-hour event will conclude with aerial exercises and formations of Sagar, Akash and Devaji. The celebrations will highlight the Indian Air Force’s commitment to national security, self-reliance and modernization, showcasing India’s growing air defense capabilities.
