Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said it was a “brilliant move” for Israel to set up a shell company to produce “explosive pagers” destined for Lebanon to disrupt the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group . Speaking at the Chanakya Defense Dialogue, the army chief said the move would require years of preparation by Israel.
General Dwivedi said: “War does not start from the day you start fighting, but from the day you start planning.”
Israel has now shifted its military focus from the Gaza Strip to its northern border with Lebanon, where it has targeted Hezbollah and ousted its chief Hassan Nasrallah and several top commanders.
“Israel did something different. Israel had decided that Hamas was their main target. So Israel eliminated Hamas first and then focused on the other side (Hezbollah). Shell companies created for pagers It’s a clever design from Israel,” he said.
