Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan on Friday praised Kashmir’s mesmerizing beauty and said he was impressed by the natural beauty of Dal Lake and the bargaining skills of Shikaravalas.
Dhawan said he visited Dal Lake last night and the view was breathtaking. “I was impressed by the character and bargaining skills of the local vendors on the houseboat,” he said.
He said that the shikarawalas had amazing marketing skills and he was impressed that they completely convinced him of their product.
“People showed a lot of love and the atmosphere here was peaceful. I hope more international cricket matches will be held here in the future,” he said.
Talking about being a Delhi boy visiting Kashmir and his old association with cricket, Shikhar said the Legends Cricket League is quality cricket and legends are playing the sport.
“Everyone should have the passion and enthusiasm to work hard and that’s what I do. I am happy to play in Srinagar and entertain the people of Kashmir. I have played with J&K many times and my relatives also live in Jammu and Kashmir. Mo, this feels great,” said Dhawan – (KNO)
