The merger of Reliance Jio and Star India is in its final stages. After this merger, JioCinema and Disney + Hotstar OTT platforms are likely to become one. However, the official information regarding this has not been shared by the company as of now. During this period, many web domains related to Jio and Hotstar have come to light. A user demanded his higher education in exchange for giving Reliance Jio Hotstar domain.

Amidst these speculations, Jio has played a big game. According to the report, the company has gone live with a new domain called Jiostar.com. Jio Star Coming Soon will appear as soon as you open this website. There are speculations that the streaming service will be launched on this domain from November 14. Many reports have claimed that both these leading OTT platforms will be accessed through this website.

According to recent reports, Reliance Jio will stream all sports events like IPL, ISL, Pro Kabaddi etc. through Disney + Hotstar app. At the same time, all web series, TV serials and movies etc. will be streamed through JioCinema. According to the report, Disney+ Hotstar has better infrastructure for live streaming of sports events. Keeping this in mind, the company intends to use this platform only for sports events.

Shock the domain sellers

Live cricket matches have been streaming on Disney+ Hotstar for many years. Disney plus Hotstar still holds the streaming rights of all ICC events. Recently a report is saying that these two OTT platforms will be merged in the name of JioHostar. With this merger in mind, a Delhi-based app developer bought the domain and put it up for auction. He was going to use the proceeds from the auction of this domain for his higher studies.

After this, the domain was bought by two Dubai-based residents and claimed to be given to the company for free. Recently, there was a lot of speculation on social media regarding the domain of Jio and Hotstar. After the launch of a new website called JioStar, it seems that Jio will now make its streaming service available through this domain. Recently, OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, paid Rs. 120 crores have been spent.
