Jammu and Kashmir has emerged as the top performing region in the bi-monthly Social Media Index (July-August), demonstrating superior social media engagement and outreach efforts.
This achievement is based on data submitted by the social media team of the Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) of 15 states and Union Territories and subsequent analysis.
Jammu and Kashmir topped the list, demonstrating an efficient and dynamic social media strategy that successfully increased voter awareness and community engagement.
By combining targeted campaigns, user-generated content (UGC) and ongoing digital initiatives, the region sets an example for others to follow.
The four best performing regions in July-August were Punjab, followed by Odisha, West Bengal and Telangana.
Jammu and Kashmir’s digital strategy is aligned with key priorities, including the ongoing Special Summary Revision (SSR) and various election campaigns.
The Election Commission of India believes that all 36 states and union territories must continue to utilize social media as a powerful tool for community building and electoral education.
Regular campaigning, UGC initiatives and active participation will remain crucial for future elections.
