Indian External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal
The Ministry of External Affairs criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement, in which he allegedly said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s memory, like that of US President Joe Biden, is beginning to fade. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal termed Rahul’s remarks as unfortunate.
He said that India and the US have a multi-dimensional partnership and this partnership has been built over the years through perseverance, unity, mutual respect and commitment on both sides. Randhir Jaiswal said that we consider such reports or comments as unfortunate and not in keeping with the warm and friendly relations with the US and do not reflect the attitude of the Government of India.
Prime Minister Modi’s memory is weak
He said this in response to a question on Rahul Gandhi’s remarks at his weekly media briefing. At a rally in Maharashtra’s Amaravati on November 16, Rahul Gandhi reportedly said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, like US President Joe Biden, seems to be losing his memory.
