Lok Janshakti Party urges Omar Abdullah to include Jammu region MLA in government cabinet

Vikram Singh Bhadwal, General Secretary (Organization) of J&K People’s Party (Ramvilas) on Sunday appealed to National Conference (NC) Vice-President Omar Abdul Ra ensures representation of Jammu MLAs in the government cabinet. He stressed the need for equal representation, especially for those MLAs supporting the formation of the government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing media persons here, Singh said, “The aspirations of the people of Jammu region must be fulfilled by bringing their representatives into the Council of Ministers. The national conference must recognize the contribution of the Jammu Independent MLAs won from the Jammu region, including those from Satish Sharma from Aknoor, Payare Lal Sharma from Indwar, Chi Mohammad Akram from Surankot and Thakur from Bani Rameshwar Singh and provide them with opportunities to serve in the national cabinet, ensuring balanced representation across regions.”
Vikram stressed the importance of restoring Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood, a demand that resonated with people across the Union Territory. He called on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take necessary steps to restore the status of the erstwhile state, saying the move would improve the political, social and economic landscape of J&K.
“Restoration of statehood is not just a matter of status but a step towards empowering the people of Jammu and Kashmir. It is time to fulfill the promises made to the people of the region,” he added.
The statement said that the Ramvilas have always stood for the rights and development of the people of J&K and Vikram Singh reiterated the party’s commitment to ensuring equal representation and justice for all sections of society.
