Veteran actor Sayaji Shinde has joined Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) ahead of next month’s Maharashtra Assembly elections. The news was announced in Mumbai by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, NCP working president Praful Patel and state unit chief Sunil Thatt Kare welcomed Cynder’s arrival.

Born in the Satara district of western Maharashtra, Shinde began his career in Marathi theater. He got his breakthrough in Bollywood in 1999 with the film Shool, in which he played a villain. Over the years, he has performed in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Gujarati and Bhojpuri.
