A 40-year-old employee of a leading information technology company in Maharashtra’s Nagpur died of cardiac arrest in the company’s washroom, officials said on Sunday.
The incident occurred on Friday when Nitin Edwin Michael, a senior analyst at HCL Technologies, went to the company’s washroom and was later found unresponsive.
According to an official from Sonegaon police station, Nitin was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Nagpur, but doctors declared him brought dead.
The body was subsequently sent for autopsy and police classified it as an accidental death. Officials said preliminary autopsy results indicate the man died of cardiac arrest.
Nitin is survived by his wife and a six-year-old son. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
