The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at various locations in West Bengal in connection with the alleged CPI(Maoist) revival case in the Eastern Regional Bureau area.

They carefully searched the houses of the suspects at a total of 11 locations in South 24 Pargana, Asansol, Howrah, Nadia and Kolkata in connection with the case.

The suspects are said to be underground workers of the CPI (Maoist) and are believed to be assisting the group’s commanders in carrying out Naxalite activities.

The NIA seized incriminating documents, electronic devices, pamphlets, magazines and handwritten letters during the raids.

The case involves an alleged conspiracy by Politburo/Central Committee members, cadres and sympathizers of the banned organization to revive, expand and spread the Communist Party of India (Maoist Party) in Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and other states. ism) ideology.

Since an FIR was registered in Ranchi in April 2022, a total of six accused have been arrested in the case, including CPI (Maoist) politburo members Prashant Bose and Pramod Mishra and central committee member Sabyasachi Goswami. The Maoist leader is among the accused named in the FIR.
