Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Maharashtra on Saturday, where he will unveil several development projects worth over Rs 56,000 crore. The Prime Minister will start his visit from Washim and inaugurate the Bangala Werasat Museum to celebrate the rich heritage of the Bangala community.
Before this, Prime Minister Modi will visit the Jagdamba Mata Temple in Poharadevi to offer prayers and pay homage to Sri Sevaral Maharaj and Sri Ram Rao Maharaj of samadhi salutations.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of various projects worth over Rs 32,800 crore in Thane. In Mumbai, he will open the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) to Aarey JVLR section of Mumbai Metro Line 3, which will be constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 14,120 crore. He will then take the subway between BKC and Santacruz stations.
At noon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch agriculture and livestock initiatives worth about Rs 23,300 crore in Washim. During the event, he will release the 18th tranche of Prime Minister-KISAN Samman Nidhi’s allocation of about Rs 20,000 crore to about 940 million farmers. He will also launch the fifth phase of NaMo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana and disburse Rs 2,000 crore, an official statement said.
The Prime Minister will also allocate over 7,500 projects under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) with a total cost of Rs 1,920 crore. These include custom hiring centres, primary processing units, warehouses, sorting and grading facilities, cold storage projects and post-harvest management projects.
The Prime Minister will also launch a unified genome chip for cattle and indigenous sex-sorted semen technology, aiming to make sex-sorted semen more affordable to farmers by reducing costs.
GAUCHIP for native cattle and MAHISHCHIP for buffalo genomic arrays were developed through genotyping services. The technology will enable early identification of quality bulls.
In the evening, Prime Minister Modi will return to Thane to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of other development projects worth over Rs 32,800 crore. One of the major initiatives is the Thane Ring Metro project, which will be constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 12,200 crore.
He will also lay the foundation stone for the elevated extension of the Eastern Expressway connecting Cheddar Nagar to Anand Nagar in Thane, aiming to provide seamless connectivity between south Mumbai and Thane.
Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will set up five solar parks with a total capacity of 19 MW in Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0. He will also lay the foundation stone for the first phase of the Navi Mumbai Airport Impact Notification Area (NAINA) project worth approximately Rs 2,550 crore.
