Congress MP Baramulla, People’s Ittehad Party chairman Engineer Rashid on Tuesday strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Gangal, Ganderbal, saying violence can never Solve any problems.
The MP stressed the value of human life and called on all parties involved to put peace before conflict. “We have lost a valuable doctor and many innocent lives. Human life, whether belonging to civilians or anyone else, must be respected.”
The AIP chief called on local and external actors to reiterate that violence is not the answer to the Kashmir issue. “I urge everyone to choose dialogue. Violence cannot take us anywhere. All problems, no matter how complex, must be resolved through negotiation.”
Rashid urged all stakeholders to abandon violent tactics and seek lasting solutions through peaceful dialogue.
The Baramulla MP also accused political leaders, especially Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, of diverting attention after the elections. “While Omar Abdullah initially advocated the restoration of Articles 370 and 35A of the Constitution, after winning the election, the focus shifted to passing a resolution on statehood. This is unfair to the people,” he said .
