Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud has arrived in India on his two-day official visit. His visit is being made with the aim of further strengthening diplomatic, cultural, political and security ties between India and Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Prince Faisal will co-chair the second meeting of the Political, Security, Social and Cultural Committee of the India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council (SPC) and will also meet India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal welcomed Prince Faisal and wrote on social media platform X that his visit will further strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries. Jaiswal said that the visit would prove to be a great opportunity for both countries to expand multilateral cooperation. The SPC committee meeting is important in political, security and social relations between the two countries, in which a wide range of issues will be discussed.
Will meet with S Jaishankar
During this visit, Prince Faisal will discuss several important issues with Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. The two leaders will meet at Hyderabad House, where regional and international issues are likely to be discussed. During this bilateral dialogue, efforts will be made to take cooperation in India-Saudi relations to new heights in areas such as energy security, trade, investment and technology. Saudi Arabia is a major energy supplier to India and emphasis is expected to be placed on increasing cooperation in this area.
