A special security plan has been created for the counting of votes in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, set to take place on October 8. This plan involves both the Jammu and Kashmir police and central paramilitary forces, as announced by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Randeep Kumar.
Security Arrangements
- Counting Centers: All counting centers have been established in Rajouri, and extensive security measures are being implemented to ensure a safe environment during the counting process.
- Deployment of Teams: The police will deploy Quick Response Teams (QRT) at various locations. These teams will be responsible for different tasks, including:
- Checking and frisking individuals
- Managing traffic control
- Maintaining law and order
Traffic Control Measures
To ensure safety around the counting centers:
- Pedestrian Zone: A pedestrian-only zone will be created within a 100-meter radius of the counting center, prohibiting any vehicles from entering this area.
- Authorized Access: Only individuals with proper authorization will be allowed entry into the counting center. Additionally, checkpoints will be set up on all routes leading in and out of Rajouri town to manage unnecessary movement of people.
These measures are part of a broader effort to ensure that the counting day proceeds smoothly and securely, allowing for a fair process in determining the election results in Jammu and Kashmir.
