The Chief Secretary for Administration visits the assembly building and inspects the development work

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo visited the Legislative Assembly building in Srinagar on September 30 to check on the preparations for the upcoming assembly session following the ongoing elections in the Union Territory.

During his visit, he toured important areas of the complex, including the General Assembly Hall and various conference rooms designated for officials like the Speaker and Deputy Speaker. He focused on ensuring that essential services, such as the sound system and internet connectivity, were functioning properly to support smooth operations.

Dulloo emphasized the need to improve communication facilities in the conference hall, particularly for video conferencing. He stressed that all ongoing work should be completed on time and meet quality standards. Additionally, he inquired about renovations for the dormitories used by Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in both cities, insisting that these should offer better amenities.

The Director of the Estate Department, Tariq Ahmad Ganai, updated Dulloo on both completed and ongoing projects related to the assembly complex. The Chief Secretary’s visit highlights the importance of readiness as the electoral process continues.
