The National Congress on Thursday stated that the party will abide by its commitments and stated that it will fight for the restoration of Article 370 of the Constitution and the rights of the people that were deprived of them on August 5, 2019.
Talking to reporters at the party headquarters in Srinagar, NC spokesperson Tanveer Sadiq said the party will stick to its promises.
“Today is our party convention and tomorrow we will elect a leader. Jammu and Kashmir needs strong and dynamic leadership and I think there is no one better than Omar Abdullah,” he said.
Meanwhile, Hasnan Masoudi, a former MP and senior leader of the National Council, said that as the government is formed, they will start working on restoring Article 370. “We will deliver on all the promises North Carolina made in its party manifesto.”
Another party leader Farooq Ahmad Shah said people have shown confidence in NC and J&K needs a strong and effective government.
Shah also said that they will fight for the restoration of Article 370 and the rights of the people that were deprived of them on August 5, 2019 – (KNO)
