Train accident in Nagpur, two coaches of Shalimar Express derailed

Two trains (18029) Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Shalimar Express derailed near Itwari railway station in Nagpur, Maharashtra. It is reported that the train was bound for Shalimar from Mumbai. However, there is currently no news of casualties caused by the incident. At the same time, after receiving the news, the police and rescue workers rushed to the scene immediately.

It is learned that the incident took place at 2 pm and the train that met with the accident in Nagpur today was traveling from Mumbai to Shalimar. During this time, the train derailed near Itwari railway station. The train derailed twice, including the S1 carriage and the S2 carriage. It is understood that when the accident occurred, two derailments occurred when the train left the railway station at 2 a.m. and began to change tracks.

Fortunately, the speed of the train is quite low. Therefore, no major accident occurred and no casualties were caused. After the incident, police and rescue workers rushed to the scene immediately.

Senior DCM Railway official Dilip Singh said that (18029) two coaches of the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Shalimar Express derailed. No passengers suffered minor or serious injuries in this incident. Preparations are being made to transport all passengers to their destinations.
