A complaint has been lodged against a staff member of a school in Thane city for allegedly making obscene remarks to four girls and a police officer. A case was registered after the girls informed their parents about the incident.
As news of the incident spread, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers barged into the school to confront the accused. The officer added that he was beaten by the MNS staff.
“The MNS activists also treated the peons roughly. Further investigation in the case is on,” the official said.
A video circulating online shows MNS staff beating the accused while others around him tried to pacify them.
“You did something very wrong,” one staff member said, before another MNS staff member was seen slapping the accused in the now-viral video. The defendant was attacked in what appeared to be a school computer lab. The defendant can be heard in the video apologizing to the workers multiple times.
